The Story of LeAnn Rimes: From Blue to Remnants (1996-2011)
following a few years out of the public eye, leann rimes returned to music in 2015 with her eighth studio album, unbreakable. recorded in nashville, alabama and los angeles, the album finds rimes returning to the roots of her musical style, from the classic country of her past to a modern country sound. with a little help from the likes of brad paisley and dierks bentley, it features some of the best songs leann rimes has recorded in years, including her latest single, running with you, and the title track, which peaked at number 14 on the billboard country airplay chart and number 2 on the country digital songs chart. rimes dedicated the album to her late husband eddie cibrian, who had recently passed away from cancer.
LeAnn Rimes - Discography (1996-2011)
after years of consistently putting out great albums, leann rimes finally went through a slump with her fifth studio album. it seemed like a reboot - the singer had spent a decade writing and recording and she wanted to hit a reset button. and at first, it looked like rimes was going to be back on track. the singer had a lot of success with the hit single, a little bit of everything (which just happens to be the title of her sixth studio album), and the album itself had a good start too, with the infectious title track and the hit single, then and now. but once fans were able to hear the rest of the album, they decided that leann rimes was simply too good to be stuck in the shadows for another year. the album peaked at number 2 on the top country albums chart and at number 6 on the billboard 200. rimes said that she chose to rush the album out to put a healthy finish on the year, and fans were actually pretty appreciative. in fact, the album was so well received that it has since been certified gold.
